I never know what to say when it comes to writing whatever falls from my brain, so I thought I’d start by telling you a little about my past.
I started thrifting and collecting vintage over twenty five years ago. During that time, I’ve been considered weird more than once for doing so. It’s nice that one of my favorite pastimes is being enjoyed by so many people, although it’s become harder to find “treasures”. I love mixing vintage and modern clothing together. Just because you bought something one way, does not mean you should wear it that way, either. Layer it, dress it up, dress it down, and when it’s a little frayed, chop it up, sew it to something else and start fresh.
My favorite dress up story:
I recently pinned a long fur collar onto a vintage kimono which I wore over a vintage beaded camisole that had been cut off of a dress.. On top of a pair of skinny jeans and platform shoes.
Favorite vintage find:
An Emilio Pucci skirt, blouse and scarf from the late 70’s in my favorite turquoise color.
